Maharashtra reports 86 Covid-19 cases; health department says no cause for alarm

According to the latest update from the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), since January 1, the state has conducted 16,226 Covid-19 tests, of which 1,362 have come back positive. While 749 patients have recovered from the virus, there are 595 active cases across Maharashtra

The Public Health Department of Maharashtra has reported a slight uptick in the Covid-19 cases, though officials claimed that the situation remains under control and there is no cause for public alarm.
On Saturday, the state clocked 86 new Covid-19 cases, with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) reporting 31 patients.
