On Friday, Mumbai recorded five new Covid-19 cases, the BMC's public health department bulletin said.

The bulletin also stated that four patients recovered.



The recovery count increased to 1,144,242. Mumbai presently has 23 active cases.


The recovery rate of patients in Mumbai City is 98.03 per cent.

"In the last 24 hours, 601 tests have been conducted in the city," the official release stated.

The doubling rate of Mumbai is 261,833 days.

Maharashtra reported 14 new Covid-19 cases and zero deaths, as per the state govt health department.

Around 15 patients were discharged on July 28, taking the total tally to 80,21,502 Covid-19 patients discharged after recovery until today.
