Around 420 unauthorised schools found in Mumbai: Maharashtra minister

In a written reply to a query asked by Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Bhaskar Jadhav and others in the Lower House of the state legislature, Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse said that 103 of these 420 schools have been penalised and 126 others were facing criminal cases

Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse on Wednesday said there were 420 unauthorised schools in Mumbai, of which 47 have been shut down, reported the PTI.

In a written reply to a query asked by Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Bhaskar Jadhav and others in the Lower House of the state legislature, he said 103 of these 420 schools have been penalised and 126 others were facing criminal cases.

Dada Bhuse said that 1,057 aided and non-aided schools have been started in Mumbai with due permission, according to the PTI.
