Neelam Gore, spokesperson, Shiv Sena, confirmed this and said, "Saheb is recovering well. However, the date of his discharge has not been finalised."
Thackeray's doctor Jalil Parkar said it was likely that he would be discharged on Tuesday or Wednesday.
"His condition has greatly improved. We are keeping him here to observe his condition before we send him home," said Parkar.
The octogenarian was
admitted to the hospital last week after he complained of breathlessness.
