The doctors on duty maintained that she was under observation and the injury could become critical.Another victim who was leaving from office near Opera House said, I couldn't understand what happened, there was a sudden thump and people were running helter skelter, I was brought to the hospital by a stranger. There were nails and glass pieces that injured his stomach causing blood loss. He is fine, but his wife who could not fight her tears, kept cursing the people behind the blasts.At the JJ hospital, an unidentified 30-year-old male patient was brought dead. Except for his face his entire body had been charred. No one has come forward to claim his body. Conditions at GT hospital were no betteru00a0 two 14-year-old children admitted with severe injuries and six other patients were brought in serious condition.A victim of the Zaveri Bazaar blast, Faiz Mohammad (28) succumbed to his injuries in Saifee Hospital. He was admitted by his colleague, Adil Luswalla, who has lost his hearing.u00a0The Dadar blast led to the death of 17-year-old Shreya Jha, whose body's left side had been charred and doctors had pegged her chances of survival at 10 per cent. The girl succumbed to her injuries at 10.30pm in Lilavati Hospital.u00a0 Politicians, meanwhile, made their presence felt, Raj Purohit, the city BJP chief who was at GT hospital visiting victims said, R R Patil should resign from his post.Doctors claimDr T P Lahane, Dean of JJ Hospital said, Most of the victims brought in at JJ hospital were suffering from burn injuries.u00a0Dr Sanjak Oak, Dean, KEM hospital, said, There were three critical cases out of nine who were operated upon at the hospital. One of the cases was a critical one but the operation was successful. We are hopeful that KEM won't lose any injured brought to the hospital. The entire hospital staff is on emergency duty .You can't relate to it until you have seen it or felt it, said Varun Gandhi, a broker who works at Prasad Chambers, at Opera House. He says, I stay at Charni road and walk to office every day. Like any other day, I was getting ready to leave office at 6.30 pm but, due to some work, I decided to leave five minutes later. This saved my life, I know that I have just barely managed to escape death, he added.
