A fire broke out in a building named Sai Niwas on P D’Mello road near Carnac Bunder bridge on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
A fire brigade official said, “Around 3.40 pm we received a call informing about a fire on the first floor of the Sai Niwas building.
Eight fire engines and five water tankers were immediately sent to the spot and the fire was doused. The exact reason behind the fire is yet to be known. All those staying on the first floor were rescued.”
