Road, rail and air traffic, however remained largely unaffected, officials said, adding there were no reports of any major water logging in the city.
However, long distance trains coming from southern region to Mumbai are running late due to heavy rains in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Konkan region, officials from the Konkan railway said.
Trains leaving Mumbai on the Konkan railway route will however be on schedule and there will be no cancellations, officials added.
