According to the weather bureau, maximum rainfall was recorded in Santa Cruzu00a0 with 274.1 mm of rain while Kolaba recorded 82.9mm rain. Chances of heavy thundershowers in the next three hours could throw the city out of gear, added the weather bureau. Heavy rains will continue for the next twenty-four hours.
BMC Disaster maintained that there is no problem of water logging in the city. "The water levelu00a0 is hardly 0.5 to 1 feet but the ongoing rain makes things worse," said an official.
Traffic continues to be a problem for commuters on the Andheri Kurla road, Sakinaka,u00a0Goregaon Telephone Exchange and Narsingh Mehta road.
Central railway officials said, "The trains are on time except on the Badlapur line, which is badly effected by the rain. However, we have diverted the route of the trains and repair work is under progress." Western railway claimed that the trains are on time and there is no water logging on the tracks.
Air services were delayed by about 10-15 minutes due to poor visibility. However, visibility has improved, according to a agency report.
