The Bombay High Court had asked Western Railway (WR) to improve rail services in the city. The court was hearing a petition filed in 1995 regarding crowded Virar trains and the inconvenience faced by commuters on this route at peak hours.

The Bombay High Court had asked Western Railway (WR) to improve rail services in the city. The court was hearing a petition filed in 1995 regarding crowded Virar trains and the inconvenience faced by commuters on this route at peak hours. The court asked the WR to provide details regarding long route train frequencies, number of passengers traveling and distance between stations within four weeks. The case will now be heard on March 12.
