I think this is fantastic news. Much respected Mamta didi managed to oust the Left which has been ruling for over 34 years.
I think this is fantastic news. Much respected Mamta didi managed to oust the Left which has been ruling for over 34 years. A new sun has risen in Bengal. I have been actively involved in promoting the Trinamool Congress party before the elections. Mamtadidi is Kali maa, aag ka gola. I am so happy. Things have been complacent for the last so many years I am sure there will be positive changes now. This is the biggest day for Bengal. It is an outstanding achievement.u00a0

I am happy there has been a change but we have to remember that every change need not be for the betterment. There are huge expectations from Trinamool, but the question is, will all those expectations be fulfilled? We have had one corrupt government taken over by yet another corrupt government, thanks to corruption. This country has gone to the dogs. I hope Mamtadidi realises that now she has to do what the people want and not what she wants.u00a0

I have seen that the common man has a lot of faith and trust in the TMC. I hope the party lives up to the expectations of the people who have placed trust in them. Apart from this being a huge ouster, what I also love about this is the rise of woman power. If you take this woman individually, it is such a huge achievement. She came from nowhere and see where she has reached. She can be a classic case study in business schools. Her achievements are bow worthy.

I welcome the change and wish Mamta and her party all the best.u00a0 I also am optimistic that they will help for the development of Bengal in a big way as people have voted them to power with high hopes.u00a0 No, I will certainly not go in for any criticism of anyone at this juncture.

I suppose if such a huge majority want change it has to be for a good reason. The Left had probably taken power for granted and let people down. I left Kolkatta about 20 years ago and every time I go back I think that the development is questionable and the cityscape has turned ugly because of vested interest. I just hope that change means a promise of a better tomorrow. People have voted against stagnation and for change. Hope the govt delivers. Bengal deserves it.u00a0

I welcome the change and feel that the responsibilities of Mamata Banerjee have increased many fold. She will now have to pursue a Herculean task of bringing Bengal out of its financial crisis and create a much better health, education, agricultural and industrial atmosphere.

I sensed a change long before the elections were held but never wanted to comment anything on the issue until the results were declared.u00a0 I am eagerly waiting to see how they change the sad situation in Bengal."u00a0
