Bachkana, who was attending a court case yesterday, said Mian was probably bumped off to settle a financial dispute.

Bachkana was recently transferred from a jail in Karnataka to Mumbai's Arthur Road jail, as he is facing a murder case here.

He explained that Zahid Amir alias Chhote Mian had been collecting huge amounts as protection money from bookies and club owners at the behest of his mentor Chhota Shakeel.
Mian and Sayyed Arshad Abrar Hussain died in a street shootout on July 29. The exact details of the killing, however, remain unclear even to senior members of the Rajan gang.
Second theory
Another theory doing the rounds is that the Chhota Shakeel faction eliminated Chhote Mian for embezzling a huge amount of money.
The slain bookie reportedly duped members of his fraternity across the country and even failed to pay hafta to some government officials.

But not many insiders are buying this theory. Addl CP (crime) Devan Bharti refused to comment on the investigation, and only said, "We will crack the case soon, as we are on the right track."
WHO IS YUSUF?
Yusuf Suleman Kadri took to chain snatching under the tutelage of Raju Bachkana, who operated near Alexander Talkies in 1987.
It was from his master he acquired the nickname Bachkana. Soon after that Yusuf was introduced to the Chhota Rajan gang and has remained loyal to the gang.
