"I don't even know what to do with her body," wept the bereaved father of Savitha Meshmade, a 20-year-old pregnant woman, who died at Sion hospital yesterday.
Ten days ago, I got a call from them informing me about the incident," said Kamble.
"We are so poor that we don't even have enough money to give her a decent funeral," wailed Kamble.
Savitha, who was four months pregnant, was stabbed in the belly. She was admitted to Sion hospital on November 20.
Kamble has now filed a case against Meshmade at the Ulhasnagar Central police station.
An official said Meshmade had been arrested and was being questioned. "He has not revealed the reason behind his crime," he said.
