Two Bangladeshi women have been apprehended in Maharashtra’s Thane district for allegedly residing in India without valid documents, police said on Saturday. Additionally, two individuals who had rented out a flat to them have also been taken into custody.
According to PTI reports, the arrests were made during a police raid conducted on Thursday at a residential complex in the Adavli-Dhokli area of Ambernath. Law enforcement officials detained the two women, identified as Farzana Shiragul Shaikh (36) and Bithi alias Priya Noorislam Akhtar (24), after they failed to produce any valid documentation to justify their travel or stay in the country.
