Mumbai Police have recovered 1,650 lost and stolen mobile phones belonging to city residents in a targeted operation across Uttar Pradesh.
During a state-wise review of complaints registered on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, police observed that a significant number of missing devices were being traced to Uttar Pradesh. Acting on this, a special recovery drive was launched with the approval of Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti.
