n a significant breakthrough, the NM Joshi Marg Police in South Mumbai have arrested a man who had been absconding for 21 years in connection with a share fraud case. The 50-year-old accused, identified as Santosh Hirachand Jain is a resident of Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh and was picked up from the Mira Road area recently.
According to the police, a first information report (FIR) had been registered against Jain in 2004 at NM Joshi Marg Police Station under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 379 (theft), 420 (cheating), 465, 467, 468, 469, 471 (all related to forgery), 120(B) (criminal conspiracy), and 34 (common intent).
