A 25-year-old paan shop owner has been sentenced to five years’ rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl at Kandivli in March 2020. The accused reportedly offered samosa and chocolate to lure the girl.
The accused, Rajkumar Dhaniram Yadav, 25, ran a paan shop in Kandivli and the victim was studying in Senior KG when the crime was committed. According to the police, on March 11, 2020 Yadav left his shop on seeing the girl playing outside her home. He offered her samosa and chocolate to lure her into a small lane where he sexually assaulted her, the police said.
Yadav is stated to have dropped the girl near her house and told her that he would give her samosa again the next day.
