A 60-year-old BAMS doctor and five others have been arrested by Vakola police for kidnapping a five-year-old girl and selling her for Rs 6 lakh. The child was rescued from Navi Mumbai. Police said the doctor, Vrinda Chavan, who recently lost her husband and wanted to adopt, paid Rs 6 lakh to the accused Karan Sanas, 25, a cleaner in her society, who helped plan the kidnapping.
