The police have recovered electrical and electronic items worth Rs 34,09,333, a vehicle valued at Rs 7 lakh, and a car worth Rs 4 lakh.
The Mumbai Crime Branch has busted an inter-state gang that allegedly carried out large-scale fraud targeting a major e-commerce company by tampering with delivery barcode stickers.
According to the police, the gang orchestrated the scam on Monday at Panchavati Marg near the Reliance Digital Store in Borivali West. The accused reportedly swapped barcode stickers between high-value items and their own parcels during delivery, ensuring the valuable goods were returned without authorisation while the company refunded the original orders.
