A 66-year-old female doctor was allegedly killed at her home in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, police said. The body of the victim was found with injury marks on head and face at her residence-cum-nursing home

Police suspect she was strangled to death. The doctor's son Deepak, working in Karnal district, yesterday tried to contact his mother over the phone, but got no response. He then requested the officer on duty at a local police station to contact his mother.
When a police team visited Manju Sharma's residence, they found her dead. A case has been registered.
