Sometimes, things are not what they seem. People who are legally appointed guardians of elderly people in the US might actually be swindlers out to take over their property and savings. That’s the central message in I Care a Lot, a film that has been recently made available on an OTT platform. The black comedy stars Rosamund Pike as one such unscrupulous legal guardian, who lands in hot water after she tries to take a seemingly gentle elderly woman for a ride, without realising that she is actually a gangster’s mother. In a nutshell, the thriller portrays an evil versus evil situation.
