Several hairstylists and makeup artists, hired for home services, say they’ve grown weary of waiting for dues. “We’re made to sit around and wait, then promised we’ll be paid next time,” says one. “But that next time never comes.” Assurances abound, but payments are scarce. While the family collects crores for films and appearances, these humble artists are left out of pocket — and out of respect. Truly, a dark day behind the glitz.
