A total of 64.5 million passengers were carried on international routes by scheduled Indian and foreign operators in the January-November period of 2024, witnessing a growth of 11.4 per cent from the same period in 2023 (58 million air travellers), according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Out of the 64.5 million passengers last year, 29.8 million passengers were carried by Indian carriers while 34.7 million passengers were carried by foreign carriers, the data showed.
