Born and brought up in Gurgaon, her journey started on a family vacation when at the age of six, a curious kid with a wild imagination picked up her father’s camera and hasn’t put it down since.
Surbhi Kaushik
Having been bought up in a society where careers in creative branches aren’t particularly encouraged, she previously worked, at arguably, the biggest multinational company in the world, Amazon. But, Surbhi, being a determined woman who had tremendous regard for her art, is the prime example of the fact that passion triumphs all and she is now the proud director and co-founder of GoodShotz Photography Pvt ltd. At GoodShotz she mentors young aspirants who share the same passion and enthusiasm as her for the art of photography. The company provides a platform and guidance for everyone who believes that photography makes an artistic difference in the world.
Inspiration is a mighty thing and so is Perspective. As human beings, we’re unique, we could stand in the same place and look at the same thing and yet, perceive it differently. Surbhi believes that there is inspiration everywhere we look and perspective is a fascinating thing. Perhaps, her vision and her determination are what makes her one of the most influential and prominent photographers in the Travel and Landscape domain. Having travelled to over 20 countries and 150 destinations, it is safe to say that she manages to capture the magnificence of the world in her lenses.
Surbhi talks about photography as an intricate ritual. One that takes not just mere skills but also an exquisite connection and visualization to the thing that is to be captured. Each of her photographs tell a story. Her photographs display a strong composition, aesthetics, and poetry. A thousand views, a thousand words, a thousand emotions, all captured into a single frame.
Although, the most important story that you can view through her photographs, is her own. A story of a young woman, who learned to flourish despite all the barriers in her way. A woman who made her own place in the world. A woman whose magic compelled people to write modern day odes about her. A woman who found the right place, the right light and setting on her lens and the right time to click the shutter button and immortalize everything she laid her eyes on.
