When asked what inspired him to do social work, Mishra shares, "When I was a student and studying, I saw lots of survival issues and communication gap between people and leaders. That's when I decided that after completion of graduation I will enter the socio-political field and look into the problems of rural janta."
As a social worker, Pankaj Mishra helps people with food, clothing and other basic needs. He also helps those who need a hand during weddings, education, and other vital activities. Mishra and his team also promote tree plantation in rural and urban areas. With Saving Nature Welfare Society and Charitable Trust, Pankaj and his team have recently planted more than 1000 trees.
Pankaj Mishra was asked what keeps him motivated to keep working for the welfare of society. He says, "People's smile when you provide them even a small helps makes me happy. I'm blessed with more than enough and I'm capable of helping thousand others. So why shouldn't I do it? Helping the needy make me and others believe that kindness still exists in the world.
Also, nature is our mother so it is essential to protect it all costs. I want to spread the message of Clean India, Green India to every corner of the state."
