Manoel Galvao Neto MD, MSC, FASBMS, FASGE is an Affiliate Professor of Surgery at FMABC, Santo Andre, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He graduated from the Bauhinia School of Medicine, Brazil, with a degree in Medicine. After that, he completed his residency programme in digestive surgery and endoscopy at July Hospital, Sâo Paulo, Brazil. He has pioneered laparoscopic surgery.
Professor Neto is also a Bariatric Endoscopy Committee member at IFSO/ Advisory Board Member of Association of Bariatric Endoscopy – ABE (ASGE division) and the Chairman of Bariatric Endoscopy Nucleus at Brazilian Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. His achievements include the "Innovation Award" by ASBMS in 2015, Scientific Director of Endovitta Institute, Sao Paulo, Brazil. To add on, he is a board-certified specialist in Digestive Surgery, Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. Also, he is a Fellow of ASBMS, ASGE and a holder of a master's degree in Digestive Surgery USP.
To this new association, Professor Neto said, "For me, this is an honour, real joy, a pleasure to join the team." He said that he admires the work Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics is doing here. A high volume centre of the whole Asia and more than that using unique techniques with tireless efforts. "Here in Indore, we will welcome the world to train with us, develop new technologists, to do researches and to offer the population what we are planning", added Professor Neto.
Mohak has always come up with newer endeavours in the field of Bariatrics, whether it is setting a world record by performing 53 bariatric surgeries within 13 hours, introducing the world of bariatrics to Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) or having the first doctor as Dr. Bhandari to perform a single anastomosis duodenal-ileal bypass. This is one such feather added to the hat.
