The exhibition The Handmade Collective in its second edition brings in this and many more such handcrafted products from across the country that will change the way you look at handicraft.u00a0Brought in by the city-based non profit trust A Hundred Hands, this exhibition comprises nearly 48 stalls that will showcase the works of 42 artists from across the country.u00a0However, Mala Dhawan, founder trustee of A Hundred Hands says that a bazaar like this is not always for people to go and shop. We don't have any middleman between the artisan and consumer. The artists are happy to talk about their art even if you don't buy it, says Dhawan.You name it, they have it.u00a0u00a0 From hand-carved wooden combs to tribal metal jewellery, all are available at the same premise. Dhawan shares that the commodities are priced between Rs 50 to Rs 40,000 to suit diverse buyers.u00a0This year's highlights would be nail and string art by Bangalore-based artist Priyanka, the cat range of Gond paintings from Madhya Pradesh by Shyam Venkat and hand made books by IITian Aditi Babel. Also, homemade delights like pickles, jams, jellies, sauces, podis, masalas and desserts would be available.And the good news is that there is something for your child too. Kec Green Games from Mumbai brings in a collection of hand made traditional and simple games likeu00a0 Gilli Danda and Snakes and Ladders but with au00a0 contemporary twist.This time we also, have a section called Dirty Your Hand where children can create something with wool, jute, clay, paint and more.
