Navi Mumbai's newest Chinese restaurant, Inside China, in Kharghar is fast emerging as a godsend for Chinese cuisine loving foodiesIt takes a while to reach the restaurant and some more time is spent to locate Inside China, a new restaurant opened at Kharghar, situated near the Panvel Highway. Chicken Celery Wine SauceWhen we walked in at 10.30 pm, it came as a surprise to notice that the place was packed a good indicator, we thought, for a new fine-dine, which had barely opened a few weeks ago.With nattily done interiors, and the Chinese alphabet showcased on the carved chairs, this restaurant definitely made a good first impression. The restaurant has two levels, and can accommodate 15 to 20 people on both floors. Content with the appearances, we settled into our seats and went into order mode.The first look at the expansive menu had us spoilt for choice. There was a wide variety of options in vegetarian and non-vegetarian in each category from soups, starters to main course and rice. We were happy that the dishes were reasonably priced. China, Bamboo RiceWe began with a Veg Silky Noodle Soup (Rs 115), which was perfectly done. It tasted authentic and piqued our appetite. Soon, we progressed to starters with the Crispy Corn Water Chestnut (Rs 120) (recommended by the attendant) and a Pattaya Chicken (Rs 170). The dishes reached us in 15 minutes and we couldn't ignore the generous servings.The Chestnut starter was golden brown in colour, with deep-fried corn: it won our vote. The Pattaya Chicken also impressed with a subtle hint of spices and succulent chicken pieces.Interiors of InsideEncouraged and happy to explore, we ordered for the mains: Vegetarian Bamboo Rice (Rs 150), Chicken Celery Wine Sauce (Rs 190) and Buddha's Delight (Rs 150).u00a0The experience was turning out to be a delightful one. The Chicken dish, which arrived on a sizzling hot pan, was mildly spicy and made for the ideal accompaniment with the well-done rice. Buddha's Delight, which was neither spicy nor sweet, was fragrant and succeeded in tantalising our taste buds.
