The story came into the spotlight recently with filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh’s (of Kahaani fame) recent popular short film titled, Ahalya. Amit Govind, founder of the Katha Project (who are organising the event) and a student of comparative mythology informs that the workshop will be a look at the story from different perspectives.
“What if Ahalya knew what she was doing? The story will be discussed by Utkarsh Patel, faculty of comparative mythology at Mumbai University, who will discuss lesser known versions of the story,” he informs.
