Kirti Kulhari: Cinema’s job to enlighten viewers about a subject

In studying how doctors, medical researchers and pharmaceutical companies work in tandem to develop a vaccine, the thriller probes the medical scams that surround human drug testing. Kulhari, who plays a doctor in the series, dismisses rumours that it is set against the backdrop of the pandemic. “The theme here is human trial. The show has nothing to do with COVID-19. The audience does not know much about medical trials; the job of cinema is to [enlighten] viewers about a subject that they don’t know about. I like to be part of stories that simplify a subject for people, and give them a 360-degree view of it.”
