Kushal Punjabi was found dead at his Bandra residence on Thursday (December 26). 37-year-old actor, known for films like Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal and Kaal, committed suicide, and his death shocked everyone in the television and film industry. The Bandra Police registered a case of accidental death after Kushal Punjabi's body was found hanging in his apartment. The police have recovered a suicide note as well. In the suicide note, Punjabi wrote, "Nobody should be blamed for my death (sic)." In the one and a half page suicide note written in English, he has also asked that 50 per cent of his assets be divided equally among his parents and sister, and 50 per cent to be given to his 3-year-old son.

According to sources, Kushal Punjabi was depressed since his wife left him alone with their child. The couple was planning their separation by mutual understanding, but the divorce wasn't filed in the court. Punjabi's wife is a French national and lives in Shanghai.
