The spread of the Coronavirus pandemic brought global economies to a complete standstill for months. The year 2020 was tough on the whole world. Many people lost their jobs during the unfortunate lockdown caused by the pandemic while many people suffered losses in their business. Similarly, in Neela Film Productions Pvt. Ltd.’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Jethaalal too has been affected due to the lockdown which has caused his business to take a severe blow.

Right before the lockdown, Jethaalal delivers a large order on credit to a customer. However, unfortunately, due to the rapid spread of the virus, the lockdown is imposed, and everything takes ease but containing the spread of the virus takes a backseat. During this period, Jethaalal’s payments too get stuck. But after the lockdown is lifted and when  Jethaalal calls the customer to remind him of his payment, the customer refuses to pay. The customer who owes Jethaalal informs him that he too has suffered a major loss due to the lockdown and is in no position to return Jethaalal his money.
