In the recent episode, the audience witness Moppad kidnapping Nandini while she was at the parlour getting ready. He wants to forcibly marry her and Vanlata and Raakla help him in this plan. At the wedding venue, everyone is waiting for Nandini, but they were informed that she is missing. Darsh wants to go look for her, but Rajvee somehow stops him. He doesn't feel right and is worried that something might have happened to her. 

Just then his sister Namrata brings Nandini and informs them that she was just outside the resort. But Darsh soon realises that it's not her. He tells everyone that it's not Nandini, and though they refuse to believe, once they remove her veil they see that it's Shamika. She tells everyone that Namrata had asked her to sit in Nandini's place and she did so because she still loves Darsh and wants to make up for hurting him.
