The period drama is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. To unveil the title, the makers also shared a power-packed teaser. However, some claimed that the visuals were generated using AI, prompting the director to respond to the criticism.

Reacting to the teaser announcement, a Telugu cinema website wrote, “RanaBaali glimpse is sensational. Largely created using AI, it highlights key aspects of the pre-Independence era, exposing how the British plundered India’s wealth and carried out genocide.”
