Sivakarthikeyan`s Parasakthi
After Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, uncertainty looms over yet another much-awaited Tamil film. The release of Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi has reportedly been held up due to delays in obtaining certification from the CBFC, triggering wider concern within the Tamil film industry about the censor process. The makers were instructed to make more than 23 cuts, after which they approached the Revising Committee.
According to reports in NDTV, the CBFC had asked for 23 edits, and the film was reviewed yesterday, January 7. Earlier, sources told the portal that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Chennai had asked director Sudha Kongara to remove certain scenes and dialogues related to the anti-Hindi agitation shown in the film.
