Leading digital creator, actor and author, Prajakta Koli, who is known to fans by her moniker MostlySane, has been spreading her wings to different field. After making her Bollywood debut, Koli is now set to make her Marathi cinema debut with Hemant Dhome’s thought-provoking drama Krantijyoti Vidyalay - Marathi Madhyam.
The film was reportedly shot this year in Alibaug. It addresses the pressing issue of declining Marathi-medium schools in Maharashtra. The storyline of Krantijyoti Vidyalay - Marathi Madhyam speaks to the state’s cultural soul as the film aligns perfectly with Koli’s deep and trusted connection to younger audiences and her commitment to meaningful, resonant storytelling.
Talking about her Marathi debut, Prajakta Koli says it feels like coming home. He states, “Moving from the digital space to Bollywood was an incredible experience, but stepping into Marathi cinema feels like coming home. The language, the culture, and the regional stories we tell hold a special place in my heart. Krantijyoti Vidyalay - Marathi Madhyam explores themes that are not only timely but essential.”
