Just a week earlier, he had been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and was recovering at home. News of his demise sent a wave of grief across the industry, with tributes pouring in from all corners. Many stars described his passing as the true “end of an era.” Actors from the South film industry also shared emotional messages, honouring the beloved icon and celebrating the warmth, grace, and legacy he leaves behind.
Rajinikanth penned a heartfelt note on X, "Farewell, my friend. I will always remember your golden heart and the moments we shared. Rest in peace, Dharam ji. My deepest condolences to his family." Mahesh Babu tweeted, "Cinema has lost one of its strongest voices today… Rest in peace Dharmendra Deol Sir. The honesty and weight you brought to every character across generations and eras will continue to inspire us always….Praying for strength and courage to his family during this difficult time…"
