Sources have revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification has demanded that filmmaker Sudha Kongara to get rid of certain scenes from the upcoming film.

CBFC demands major cuts in Parasakthi

The CBFC has reportedly asked the makers to remove certain scenes and dialogues related to the anti-Hindi agitation depicted in the film. Sources in the Tamil film industry told NDTV that after the CBFC demands, the filmmaker has approached the Revising Committee of the Central Board of Film Certification in Mumbai. The filmmaker is reportedly distressed that the cuts could potentially affect the narrative and also alter its historical representation. Notably, neither the filmmaker nor the producer, Dawn Pictures, has so far issued an official statement on the matter.
