On Wednesday, it was announced that Akshay Kumar will play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar's magnum opus, 'Veer Daudale Saat.' The surprise announcement came at an event held in Mumbai, where Akshay made a sudden entry, joining the rest of the film's team on stage. Salman Khan too made his presence felt.

The event was also attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.

Veer Daudale Saat release in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. The Vaseem Qureshi productions will hit theatres on Diwali 2023.
