Shruti is currently doing three films-one Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. "Anagananga Oka Dheerudu" (Telugu) with Siddarth in the lead, Madhur Bhandarkar 'Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji' and AR Murgadoss-directed 'Ezham Arivu'.

She is paired opposite Emraan Hashmi in 'Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji' When asked if she felt nervous as Emraan has quite a reputation of being a 'kissing hero', Shruti said "Emraan was a very nice co-star and I enjoyed working with him." "It feels great to be working on three films right now and all so varied in genre and language. I have completed both the Hindi and Telugu films...and Ezham Arivu still has quite a bit left. I am also very excited about my Telugu film as it is fantasy, a genre that is unique." Besides, "Anagananga Oka Dheerudu" has English sub-titles.

On the Surya-starrer 'Ezham Arivu', she said: "Surya is such a fab person to work with. He is super professional and helpful to everyone, I've learned quite a bit working with him! Shruti was earlier with the alternative rock band 'Extramentals' which was dibanded a year ago. She is now with her own band "and I play original material. I just play as "Shruti". The multi-faceted Shruti, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Imran Khan in 'Luck', had composed music for the Kamal Haasan starrer-'Unnaipol Oruvan', a remake of the Hindi film 'A Wednesday.'
