A Japanese woman in her 50s has been booked by South Korean police for attempting to unlawfully enter the private residence of BTS member Jungkook, raising renewed concerns about celebrity privacy and safety. Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred in Itaewon, Seoul, shortly after the global pop star completed his mandatory military service.
According to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station, the woman was caught attempting to access Jungkook’s home by repeatedly pressing the digital door lock keypad. Her suspicious behaviour prompted nearby residents to alert the authorities, who arrived at the scene and detained her for questioning. Police have since booked her on charges related to attempted unlawful entry. While her exact motive has not been officially disclosed, investigators believe her actions were deliberate and targeted.
