BTS leader Kim Namjoon, popularly known as RM, turned 31 years old on Thursday, September 12. As his fans across the globe prepared to celebrate his birthday with posters, special social media posts and more, the K-pop icon had a fun surprise in store for his fans. 

BTS RM debuts with blonde look on 31st birthday

Namjoon took to his Instagram stories to share a series of photos from his birthday celebrations. In one of the stories, he surprised the BTS ARMY as he debuted with a blonde hairdo on his special day. In another photo, Namjoon shared a peek at the menu of his meal on his birthday. It included small bites, summer squash noodle and roasted sesame with "Happy Birthday" written at the top of the page. Namjoon mentioned a kissing face emoji on the image.
