Project Hail Mary denied IMAX screens in India due to Dhurandhar 2?
Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary finally hits Indian theatres on March 26 but without any IMAX screens, disappointing fans eager for the premium viewing experience. Reports suggest IMAX slots remain occupied due to the strong box office run of Dhurandhar 2

Still from Project Hail Mary
Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, was released worldwide (except India) on March 19. The film saw a week’s delay in India as the makers felt it was best not to clash directly with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2. Its India release is now scheduled for March 26. However, fans eagerly awaiting the film are disappointed. The Hollywood sci-fi drama has not been allotted a single IMAX screen in India. While tickets are available on platforms for 2D and 4DX formats, no IMAX screens have listed the film yet.
Fans express anger over no IMAX screens for PHM
Why is it a big deal? Project Hail Mary is among the few films shot specifically for IMAX and is reportedly a visual spectacle best experienced in that format. As of the evening of March 25, no IMAX screens in India had listed the film.
