Los Angeles: A new animated film of sci-fi, action film series "Resident Evil" is in the works for a 2017 release.

The new CG (computer-generated) animated film with the working title "Resident Evil CG 3" will be penned by Makoto Fukami and directed by Takanori Tsujimoto, reports aceshowbiz.com.
