BTS members have just joined Instagram and are already smashing records previously held by other celebrities. Leading the pack is V aka Kim Taehyung. Kim Taehyung became the fastest person to reach 1 million followers on Instagram in 40 minutes breaking Angelina Jolie's record of 1 hour. He also had 2 million followers in an hour, reportedly the fastest individual to do so on the platform. The singer also smashed Billie Eilish’s record of 1 million likes within six minutes by getting the same amount of likes within four minutes. The 25-year-old singer’s followers skyrocketed to 10 million within 24 hours. Earlier, Jennifer Aniston held the record for the same. V also broke the record of the most-liked Instagram post by an Asian and he's now the only artist who has two posts with more than 13 million likes.

Meanwhile, it’s not been all hunky dory for the K-pop star as he also got massively trolled for following Jennie from Blackpink. He unfollowed her soon after and clarified over Weverse, “Recommended by Instagram Is there a way to get rid of this?….It’s a scary app."
