I will never forget house fire: Kate Winslet

Oscar-wining-actress Kate Winslet says she will never forget escaping the fire that destroyed Richard Branson's Caribbean home.

The 35-year-old actress carried the Virgin businessman's 90-year-old mother Eve to safety from the blaze, which took place on Necker Island, owned by Branson.

The 'Titanic' star is glad that none of the 20 guests in the Great House, which included her boyfriend Louis Dowler, and two children Mia, 10, and seven-year-old Joe, were hurt, reported Sun online.

"I'm just so glad that everyone is safe. And this very easily could not have been the case. I will never forget Richard placing his arms around both my children as we were watching the flames, and saying, 'At the end of the day, what you realise is that all that matters is the people that you love. Everything else is just stuff. And none of that stuff matters'," she said.
