'The Hangover' star Ed Helms has reportedly been roped in to play the role of clueless Lt. Frank Drebin in the reboot of 'Naked Gun' that was made famous by legendary actor Leslie Nielsen.
According to the Variety, writers of ‘Night at the Museum’, Thomas Lennon and R. Ben Garant, have been brought in by Paramount to write the script, the New York Daily News reported.
The first three installments in the comedy franchise, which is based on their earlier short-lived 1982 ABC television series ‘Police Squad!’, had pocketed 275 million dollars at the box office.
