Abhay Deol is the latest guest on mid-day.com’s special series, ‘Flashback with the Stars.’ The actor speaks about his upcoming release Lionsgate Play's ‘Jungle Cry,’ sacrificing the star game, being manipulated by some filmmakers he worked with and much more!

Looking back at his journey in films, Abhay says, “I was only doing what I felt I could do authentically and give myself to with conviction. Money was never the motive. Sure, I want to make money, don’t get me wrong but it’s not the driving factor! Creativity was the driving factor. I didn’t do those films to be different or prove a point, I did them because it came naturally to me. If I am in a position of privilege, who else will do it if not me! I did sacrifice the star game as a result of it but the advantage of my background wasn’t getting work, I created my own work. Fame and money don’t necessarily bring you happiness because I came from a family that had both!”
