Alia recreates Rekah's Silsila look, intenet says 'Silsila rukhna nahi chahiye'

Alia Bhatt recreated Rekha's iconic Chandni's pink saree look from Silsila at the special industry screening of Umrao Jaan. Alia also penned a sweet note for the veteran actress on Instagram, calling her a 'living legend'

Alia Bhatt recently made a dazzling appearance at the re-release party of the classic film Umrao Jaan. The 1981 film has been beautifully restored in 4K by NFDC-NFAI and set for a grand theatrical re-release on 27th June 2025. The special industry screening was hosted yesterday and was attended by several notable celebrities. After the event, Alia expressed her love towards the veteran actress Rekha via a heartfelt Instagram post.

Following the screening, Alia took to Instagram to share a series of photos of herself as she recreated Rekha's iconic Silsila look. She also shared a picture with the veteran actress. In the caption, she wrote, “An ode to a living legend… there never, was, is or will ever be another like you, ReMaa.”
