Kajol slammed the growing paparazzi culture in Mumbai, calling it invasive and disrespectful. She shared that being followed for kilometres and filmed at personal moments deeply disturbs her

Kajol
Actress Kajol has been a pivotal part of the film industry since the 1990s. She has seen the industry grow and evolve while remaining at the top of her game. One thing she has also witnessed is the rise of the paparazzi culture in Mumbai. Today, photographers and videographers often follow stars whenever they step out of their homes, and the content quickly makes its way to social media. Senior actress Kajol is not happy with this trend and, in fact, finds it disturbing.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kajol said that the paparazzi culture is disrespectful. When asked what she would like to change about it, she said,
"I am a little conscious around the paps. I think there are certain places where they shouldn’t be. Like, I find it very strange when they run after actors at someone’s funeral and ask for photos. I find that odd and a little disrespectful. I also find it strange that you cannot even go for lunch."
She also slammed the paps for following her everywhere. "They follow you for kilometres—from Juhu to Bandra—to see where I am going and which building I’m entering. I find that disturbing. If I were a normal person, would you do that? Wouldn’t I have gone to the cops and said this person is following me? What should I tell the cops now?" she shared.
