Akshay Kumar and Tabu were last seen together 25 years ago in the hit film Hera Pheri. The two actors are now set to reunite in Priyadarshan`s 2026 release Bhoot Bangla. The film not only marks Priyadarshan’s reunion with Akshay but also with Tabu. The Haider actress revealed that she has not been in touch with Akshay over the years but says he is still the same person.

Tabu on reuniting with Akshay Kumar

In a chat with ETimes, Tabu shared that she had stayed in touch with Priyadarshan, who directed Hera Pheri, but not with Akshay. “I didn’t know what to expect. I hadn’t worked with Akshay after Hera Pheri, and we hadn’t even met socially very often over the years. I had stayed in touch with Priyan, so I knew he would be exactly the same person.” She added that Priyadarshan is still as “impatient and vocal about what he feels.”
